Little Ashalynn is a precious 6 month old! Yesterday was my first time to meet her and we had SO much fun. Mommy shared some jewelry and the little princess got so excited! Hope to take more pictures of her in the months to come and see how she grows!
Beauty while we wait
Here’s a few thoughts to brighten your cold January Saturday.
Christmas is past, the New Year has been “rung in” and now that the excitement has subsided… we can hardly wait for spring!
Spring brings new life, which we celebrate. We welcome the warm sunshine, green grasses and bright blooms that follow a dark dreary winter.
Life has seasons too. It’s not always Spring. Winter visits us, often unexpected, often without welcome. Maybe winter has a purpose too, a calm and quiet meaning for us to understand and realize. If we so choose, we can see beauty in the darkest hues of a gray winter. Personally, I’m in love with the sparkles of icicles and the golden shimmer of the evening sun shining through a snow-covered pine. Everything that was dull and bare becomes glistening and majestic!
To everything there is a season,
and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
A time to be born, and a time to die;
a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
A time to kill, and a time to heal;
a time to break down, and a time to build up;
A time to weep, and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn, and a time to dance;
A time to cast away stones,
and a time to gather stones together;
a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;
A time to get, and a time to lose;
a time to keep, and a time to cast away;
A time to rend, and a time to sew;
a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;
A time to love, and a time to hate;
a time of war, and a time of peace.

Home for the Holidays
This wasn’t for a client… just for myself :) I wanted to capture the beauty of the place I am blessed to call “home” for the holidays. My mother does such a beautiful job!
Just Baby
Don’t get me wrong, I love the props! I love the fuzzy blankets, and LOVE hats ( I have several including an adorable little blue bird hat and a bear hat)… but sometimes pure baby is the most beautiful thing! This little Kyleigh Grace was THE sweetest little thing… you just couldn’t help but fall in love!
This is such a simple shot, yet SO sweet and soft and pure… all about baby!

Decided to start using a few banners in some of my shoots! It creates a unique and personalized prop- but the wind doesn’t always cooperate. Must use with patience :)

Light… always overcomes darkness
What’s the first thing you notice about this picture? I’m immediately drawn to the magical lighting… the shot otherwise is just an old barn and a girl… the light shining through the trees and over the top of the rustic roof makes this photo have such magical mystique :)

Christmas Blessings- Family together
Of all the grandeur that the holiday season brings with its music, lights, parties and shopping… What is your favorite part?
I love festivities but parties aren’t my favorite. I love music, but concerts aren’t my favorite. I love shopping, but those long lines surely aren’t my favorite! Family is my favorite… the time we share, just seeing their faces and sharing special moments that create memories we treasure!
I love this sweet candid moment with the Maricelli family! What a wonderful blessing to have a new baby this Christmas. I love this family!

Just a little conversation between brothers…
Rod contacted me before Christmas and asked if I could take pictures of him and his brother as a Christmas gift to their mom. How sweet and thoughtful! I know that his mother was very excited to get pictures of her sons!!! So happy to be part of that special Christmas gift :)

Bright & Cheery— Black, white and denim is over-rated
This is a great example of how much FUN bright colors can be! This mom did a great job picking out snazzy stylish outfits within a color palette of pinks, greens and tan… I love how the outfits really match the kids’ personalities too!
Clothing is so important. I’ve addressed this under the tab “Your Photo Shoot”. If you have questions or would like my input, I’m always glad to help :) Changing clothing is one thing that I just can’t fix with photoshop!! It’s all up to you ;)
